This is my final piece for my perspective project. I took this picture of my horse Lilly she is a Percheron cross. Her breed is known for strength, versatility, and a kind disposition. I took this picture of her after she had a bath because it gave her fur interesting highlights that created a nice composition. The difficulties of this project include that this is my first time using prisma colors and that i had to foreshorten Lillys head. I started with the darkest values in the picture and finished with the lightest which would be the white tones on her fur that make her look shiny. It was also a challenge to actually create the colors of her coat because i had to mix 15 different colors including purple and orange. This was a rewarding project because although it was very difficult the final piece came out ver well.
For this homework we were told to arrange random items that have nothing to do with each other and draw them together. So instead of setting all this up and finishing it all in one sitting. I decided to bring my sketchbook around with me and just draw random things that i see around me that day. I started with the small bottle in the center of the picture, i found that in my parents room where they keep all of their essential oils. Then i drew the small ribbon pin right in front of the stapler that was on my back pack from GSA club. After that i drew the stapler and the pen in my american history class while we were taking notes and i thought it would be interesting to put some little pen scribbles at the bottom of the paper to make it a little more interesting. Finally i drew the oranges, candle, and blade all in one sitting which were just random things i found in my kitchen. i particularly enjoyed drawing the oranges because i used stippling to shade them and i feel like that made them look more realistic with all of the pores in the peel.
For this homework, we were told to draw a piece of furniture with color and shading.so i did that and the only color i had was my siblings crayons so i tried to use the colors they had to create a 3D affect. i also drew a dragon in the background and i have no idea why i just thought it was cool.
